Pawan the village boy 3

Pawan was a serious worker,took keen interest in his work.He was our driver and lost no time and said ,he wanted to use his village know-how amd make woven paper baskets. To start with ,he made baskets of various sizes,woven coasters.
Kanchan had an edge over Pawan and she wanted to know from him why he was using newspaper and magazines to make baskets and coasters and not plastics.Pawan was only partly right. Kanchan got the scope to tell him that unlike plastic paper was nature friendly.
Slowly Kanchan learnt to make rolls and she made first coasters with the rolls. Pawan started using rolls too. If Pawan made organizers, Kanchan made bins, if Kanchan made table mats,Pawan made flower vases, fruit baskets,he even made a name plate for us Thus various other items like boxes,trays,runners ,heat pads were being made.

One by one others stepped into our fold. Manju,Pooja,Geeta amd the wheels of our project started rolling.They were working in other houses and little time.But they came everyday to make rolls.Gradually their speed and quality of work improved. They started making items,Geeta made small baskets,Pooja,made table mats,coasters. Manju made thin stripes to make woven baskets.
